About Us | GEPCO Bill:-
GEPCOBILL.COM exists for a simple reason. Checking a GEPCO bill, working out why it jumped, or finding the right office to complain to should not require an afternoon of searching — yet for most people in Gujranwala, Sialkot and Gujrat, it still does.
We built this site to put those answers in one place, written plainly and kept current. We are an independent information service. We are not GEPCO, and we say so on every page that could possibly confuse the two.
What We Actually Do:-
- Explain GEPCO billing in plain language — tariff categories, slabs, adjustments, surcharges and the taxes stacked on top.
- Build free tools that do the arithmetic for you, including a bill calculator and a solar payback calculator.
- Track the changes that move your bill, particularly NEPRA’s monthly fuel adjustments and quarterly adjustments.
- Document the processes people find hardest to navigate: complaints, escalation, new connections and net metering.
- Point you to the official portal for anything that must be done officially.
We do not process payments, issue bills, or hold any account with GEPCO on your behalf. Every transaction you make happens on an official channel, not here.
How We Verify Our Information:-
Utility tariffs in Pakistan change constantly, and most sites covering them go stale within weeks. We work against that in four ways.
We use primary sources
Rates come from NEPRA tariff determinations and the SROs that notify them, not from other websites. Where we quote a figure, we name the notification it came from.
We date everything
Every page carries a last-updated date, and our calculators print the date their rate configuration was last verified. If a figure is stale, you can see that it is stale rather than trusting it blindly.
We separate the certain from the uncertain
When sources conflict — and on Pakistani tariff detail they frequently do — we say so instead of picking whichever number sounds most confident. When a figure is an estimate or a typical range, we label it as one.
We update on a schedule
Fuel adjustments are notified monthly and quarterly adjustments each quarter, so we review those figures on the same cadence. Base tariffs are checked whenever a new determination is notified, and the whole site is reviewed when a structural change lands.
Where We Get Things Wrong:-
Sometimes we will. A rate changes and we catch it late, a process shifts, or an explanation turns out to be less clear than we thought.
When that happens, we fix it and update the page date. If the correction is significant — a wrong rate, a wrong procedure — we note what changed rather than editing quietly. If you spot an error, tell us. Corrections from readers who deal with these bills daily are the fastest way this site improves.
How We Stay Independent:-
This site is funded by advertising. Advertisers have no influence over what we write, and we do not accept payment to recommend a solar installer, a bank, a payment service or any other provider.
That independence shows up in practical ways. Our solar calculator uses the current buyback rate rather than the flattering one some installers still quote. Our guidance on choosing an installer is written to protect your money, not to generate leads. And where a tool of ours would give a worse answer than the official portal, we send you to the portal.
What We Are Not:-
GEPCOBILL.COM has no affiliation with the Gujranwala Electric Power Company, PITC, WAPDA, NEPRA, or any government body. We do not represent them, we cannot act on their behalf, and we cannot change anything on your account.
