Privacy Policy:
This policy explains what GEPCOBILL.COM collects, what it deliberately does not collect, and the choices you have. We have written it to be readable, because a privacy policy you cannot understand is not really a disclosure.
The short version: we do not ask you to register, we do not build profiles of individual visitors, and the reference numbers you type into our tools never reach our server.
What We Do Not Collect
This deserves stating first, because it is unusual and it is the part that matters most to our users.
Your bill reference number
When you check a bill through this site, your browser sends the reference number directly to the official billing portal. It does not pass through our server, and we never store it, log it or see it.
If you use the “recent lookups” feature, those numbers are saved in your own browser’s local storage on your own device. They stay there, they are never transmitted to us, and clearing your browser data removes them permanently.
What you enter into our calculators
Our bill calculator and solar calculator run entirely inside your browser. Your units, sanctioned load, system size and every other input are processed on your device and sent nowhere. Close the tab and the figures are gone.
Accounts and financial details
We have no user accounts, so we hold no passwords. We process no payments, so we never see card numbers, bank details or wallet credentials. We do not ask for your CNIC, and you should never send it to us.
What We Do Collect:
Information you send us voluntarily
If you email us or use the contact form, we receive whatever you choose to include — typically your name, email address and message. We use it only to reply, and we retain correspondence for [12] months before deleting it.
We do not add your address to any mailing list, and we do not sell or share it.
Standard server logs
Like nearly every website, our hosting provider records basic technical information when a page is requested: IP address, browser type, referring page, and the time of the request. These logs help diagnose faults and detect abuse. They are retained for a short period and are not used to identify individuals.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies for essential site function, and third parties use them for advertising and measurement. The next section covers advertising specifically.
Advertising and Third-Party Cookies
This site is free because it carries advertising. That advertising involves third parties who set their own cookies, and you should understand how it works.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve advertisements based on your prior visits to this site and other sites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet.

If you use our recent-lookups feature and want to remove the stored numbers, clearing your browser’s site data for this domain deletes them immediately.
Links to Other Sites
We link to official portals, regulators and other resources. Once you leave this site, this policy no longer applies and the destination site’s own practices take over.
This is worth remembering when you check a bill: the bill itself opens on the official billing portal, which is operated by PITC and governed by their privacy practices, not ours.
Children
This site addresses adults managing household or business electricity accounts. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Rights
Because we hold so little, most requests are simple. You may ask what correspondence we hold from you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us and we will respond within a reasonable period.
For the data we genuinely never receive — your reference numbers and calculator inputs — there is nothing for us to delete, because it was never ours.
Security
We serve this site over HTTPS, keep our software updated, and limit who can access our systems. No website can promise perfect security, but holding very little data is itself a meaningful protection: there is no database of reference numbers here to breach.
Changes to This Policy
We will update this page when our practices change — for example, if we add a newsletter, comments, or a feature that processes data on our server. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
Material changes will be noted on the page rather than made silently. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
