Our Tools Produce Estimates, Not Bills:
The calculators on this site apply published tariff rates, adjustments and taxes to the figures you enter. They are designed to be close, and we test them against real bills. They are still estimates.
Your actual bill can differ for reasons no calculator can see, including arrears carried forward, pro-rata billing where the reading period is not a full month, subsidy adjustments, detection charges, meter rent variations, and adjustments applied after our rate configuration was last updated.
Treat any figure from our tools as a guide for planning, never as the amount payable. The bill GEPCO issues is the only authoritative figure, and it is what you should pay.
Rates and Rules Change Without Notice
NEPRA revises fuel adjustments monthly and tariff adjustments quarterly, and the government can alter taxes and levies in any finance bill. Structural changes happen too, as the January 2026 tariff restructuring and the February 2026 net metering overhaul both demonstrated.
We update our content and rate configurations as those notifications land, and every page shows when it was last reviewed. Even so, there will be periods between a notification and our update where information here lags the official position. Where the two differ, the official notification governs.
