GEPCO Bill History: Check Old and Previous Month Bills

Every bill prints your GEPCO bill history: a 12-month table of units, bill amounts and payments. So a single duplicate bill shows a full year of records. This guide explains how to read that history, how to check a previous month’s bill, and how to get a copy of an older bill when you need one.

Where to Find Your GEPCO Bill History

Look near the bottom of the bill for a table with four columns: MONTH, UNITS, BILL and PAYMENT. Each row covers one of the last 12 months.

How to Check Your GEPCO Bill History Online

You do not need a separate history service. The latest bill already carries the full year, so one search is enough.

1Open your latest billEnter your 14-digit reference number or consumer ID in the checker above.
2Scroll to the history tableFind the 12-month table near the bottom of the bill.
3Save a copyPress Print / Save PDF so you keep this year’s record.

Save a PDF each month and you will slowly build a complete archive. After a year, you will have every bill in full, not just the summary.

How to Check a Previous Month’s GEPCO Bill

The official portal shows only your most recent bill. Even so, you have three good ways to see last month’s figures.

  • The history table: last month’s units, bill amount and payment appear on the current bill.
  • Before the new bill is issued: until GEPCO bills your batch, the online check still shows last month’s bill in full.
  • Your own records: a saved PDF, a photo of the paper bill, or a payment app receipt.

For a complete copy of an older month, with every charge line, visit your sub-division office or customer service centre. Take your reference number and CNIC.

What Your GEPCO Bill History Tells You

The history table is more than a record. Read it carefully and it answers several money questions.

Pattern in the historyPossible reasonWhat to do
Units above 200 in any of the last six monthsYou are billed as an unprotected consumerPlan to stay under 200 units for six months
A sudden jump with no new appliancesA reading error or a faulty meterCheck the meter photo and register a complaint
The same units several months in a rowPossible estimated (average) billingCompare your meter with the present reading

For payments in particular, our guide to checking whether a GEPCO bill is paid or not explains every fix.

Why Your GEPCO Bill History Matters for Average Billing

If your meter becomes defective, GEPCO may bill you on an average for up to two months under NEPRA’s Consumer Service Manual. That average is the higher of the same month last year or the average of the last 11 months.

So your GEPCO bill history directly decides any average bill. Keeping your own copies helps you check the figure and challenge it if it looks wrong.

Keep Your Own GEPCO Bill History

  • Save a PDF of every bill in one folder named by year
  • Photograph your meter on the reading date each month
  • Keep payment receipts next to each bill
  • Note any complaint numbers in the same folder

It takes two minutes a month and saves hours in any dispute. You can also compare each new bill with your estimate in the GEPCO bill calculator.

Frequently Asked Questions About GEPCO Bill History

How can I check my GEPCO bill history online?

Open your latest bill with your reference number or consumer ID and scroll to the 12-month table. It lists the units, bill amount and payment for each of the last 12 months.

How can I check my previous month’s GEPCO bill?

Use the history table on your current bill for last month’s units, amount and payment. If GEPCO has not issued the new bill yet, the online check still shows last month’s bill in full.

Can I do a GEPCO old bill check online?

Only through the history table on your latest bill. The official portal does not show older bills in full, so ask your sub-division office for a complete duplicate.

How many months of GEPCO bill history can I see?

Each bill shows 12 months. If you save a PDF every month, you can build a history as long as you like.

Where can I get a copy of a GEPCO bill from last year?

Visit your sub-division office or customer service centre with your reference number and CNIC. Staff can print a duplicate for the month you need.

Yes. The PAYMENT column shows the amount GEPCO received for each month. It is the best official proof that you paid a bill.

Why is a payment missing from my GEPCO bill history?

The payment may not have posted yet, or it may have gone to another reference number. Take your receipt to the sub-division office, and register a complaint on 118 if needed.

Can I see my GEPCO bill history without a reference number?

You can use the 10-digit consumer ID instead. If you have neither, our GEPCO reference number guide shows how to recover it.
